Early Childhood Education Aides (Infants - Pre-K4)


BCA is seeking a number of Early Childhood Center aides, Monday - Friday (full-time day hours), in our infants through Pre-K program. Duties include (depending on age level) feeding, diaper-changing, engaging in play/learning activities, instruction, etc. Child care experience  preferred/considered.


Applicants must be 21 or older and have a high school diploma.


Full-time, Year-Round Early Childhood Education Positions Available:


(2) Aides to "float" in Pre-K2, Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 (3 p.m. to 6 p.m.)


Part-time After Care for K - 8th Opportunities

For part-time, afternoon hours, applicants must be age 18 or above.


(2) K - 8th grade after care aides

Early Childhood Education Aide Requirements:

- Love children!
- Provide basic care for children which includes feeding, grooming and changing diapers
- Develop age-appropriate socialization skills in children
- Encourage positive behavior and good manners
- Utilize various learning methods such as stories, games and drawing/art to intellectually  stimulate children
- Identify behavioral problems and develop appropriate strategies to address them
- Provide a pleasant, safe and sanitary environment
- Communicate with parents and provide updates on children’s progress
- Provide proven experience working as an early childhood teacher (if previously worked with children)


Must have:

In-depth understanding of childhood development, strong conflict resolution skills, excellent communication skills, and be attentive and patient

- High school diploma or GED

- Clear criminal background check/be fingerprinted


Preferrable:
- Child care professional (CCP) certification

- Certification in first aid and CPR (BCA employees will receive this every two years.)

Substitute teachers for infants - 8th grade (on call as needed during the school year)
