Early Childhood Staff 


BCA is seeking a number of early childhood teachers, Monday - Friday (full-time day hours), in our infants through Pre-K program. Duties include (depending on age level) feeding, diaper-changing, engaging in play/learning activities, instruction, etc.) Child care experience  preferred/considered.

Applicants must be 21 or older and have a high school diploma.


Year-Round Positions Available:

(1) Infant aide (full-time, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
(3) Pre-K2 aides (full-time, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)

(1) Pre-K4 lead teacher (full-time, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.)
(1) Pre-K4 aide (full-time 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.)

(1) Aide to "float" in Pre-K (full-time, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.)


Summer Camp 2024 positions:

(6) Summer camp COACHES/AIDES for ages rising kindergarten - 8th grade

(Must be 18 or older for the summer aide positions.)


Early Childhood Teacher Requirements:


- Love children!
- Provide basic care for children which includes feeding, grooming and changing diapers
- Develop age-appropriate socialization skills in children
- Encourage positive behavior and good manners
- Utilize various learning methods such as stories, games and drawing/art to intellectually  stimulate children
- Identify behavioral problems and develop appropriate strategies to address them
- Provide a pleasant, safe and sanitary environment
- Communicate with parents and provide updates on children’s progress
- Provide proven experience working as an early childhood teacher (if previously worked with children)


Must have:

In-depth understanding of childhood development, strong conflict resolution skills, excellent communication skills, and be attentive and patient

- High school diploma or GED

- Clear criminal background check/be fingerprinted


Preferrable:
- Child care professional (CCP) certification

- Certification in first aid and CPR (BCA employees will receive this every two years.)

Substitute teachers for infants - 8th grade (on call as needed during the school year)
