Yes. In 2006, The Lutheran School changed its name to Belvoir Christian Academy to more accurately reflect the area as well as its desire to ensure that families of all faiths and Christian denominations are welcome to enroll.
The congregations of First Lutheran Church and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church continue their support of BCA. Belvoir Christian Academy’s mission is to make disciples for Jesus through learning, loving and serving. Established in 1887, BCA is excited about moving forward into the next one hundred years.
BCA offers a challenging, age-appropriate academic curriculum for children in pre-K3 through eighth grade. The curriculum integrates traditional education with technology, while offering a family-oriented, Christian environment.
We also offer infant and toddler care through our Children's Center, also housed on the school campus. The Center is open year-round, weekdays 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m., closed only for major holidays.
BCA offers an Extended Care Program for families who need care for their children beyond regular hours. For students in kindergarten through eighth grade, students may arrive for early care at 7 a.m. Children will have early care in the cafeteria and are dismissed to their classrooms at 8 a.m. After school care is offered until 6 p.m. as well.
Infants through Pre-K4 students may arrive as early as 6:30 a.m. and may be taken directly to their classrooms. All students, infants through eighth grade, must be picked up 6 p.m. Please refer to our late pick-up policy.
BCA is a member of the Independent School Conference. Athletic opportunities are available for kindergarten - 8th grade students and include volleyball, cross country, soccer, basketball and intramural sports.
A variety of extracurricular activities are offered including individual piano lessons, gymnastics, Tae Kwon-Do and Soccer Shots.
BCA has a standardized dress code for kindergarten through eighth grade students. The dress code policy does not apply to students in pre-school. Students are expected to dress modestly and be well-groomed during school hours.

After applying for admission, our Admissions Director will work with your schedule to set up a time to have your child complete an assessment with the teacher of the rising grade (required for kindergarten - 8th grade). Following the assessment, families may need to meet with the teacher to go over test results, and finally, they will meet with our principal to go over school procedures and policies.
