Athletic News from Coach Hill:

Congratulations to all of the Sports Award recipients from our recent sports award ceremony! Look for the award recipients posted in this week's final newsletter for this school year.

Also, our final FIELD DAY winning teams were in the following order:

Thanks to all of the volunteers who helped with Field Day on May 14.

1st place - RED TEAM

2nd place - ORANGE TEAM

3rd place - BLUE TEAM

4th place - GREEN TEAM

Thanks to all of the students, faculty and staff who participated in Tribe Pride Days on the last Friday of each month this past year, collected Capri Sun pouches and purchased and wore a TRIBE PRIDE bracelet! All of those activities help add points on to your teams throughout the year leading up to the annual Field Day in May! We'll start over again in September 2013!

4-STAR BASKETBALL CAMP  - Camp will be held at BCA for grades 3^rd – 9^th, June 10-13.  The cost of the camp is $135. Also, there is limited space in camp.  You can turn in a $50.00 non-refundable deposit to reserve a spot in this camp. The $50 applies to your camp fee. There is also a discount for more than one camper from the same family. See Coach Hill regarding the discount. You may reach him at 622-3755 Ext. 21 or phill@bcalions.org. Lunch will be served each day as well as snacks for each camper. All campers will receive a T-shirt and a basketball.  Camp is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The gym will be open at 8:30 each morning.

BE SURE TO PURCHASE A BCA TRIBE PRIDE BRACELET TO WEAR WITH YOUR TRIBE COLOR SHIRT! THESE ARE FOR SALE FOR $3 EACH. (Students may wear a T-shirt or Polo shirt of their tribe color on these days.)

BCA SPIRIT ITEMS!

The Booster Club is selling BCA car magnets ($8), BCA chip clips ($2) and BCA plastic cups ($2). Please contact Coach Hill if you would like to purchase any of these new BCA Spirit items. 

A note from Athletic Director, Paul C. Hill  

As BCA's Athletic Director, I appreciate the opportunity to share with you a little about the vision of the athletics here at BCA and also provide you with information such as team schedules, locations and directions to opposing teams' schools, as well as other information that will be useful to you as you follow the progress of our athletic teams.

The vision for the Athletic Department is to provide a complete program where the students have an opportunity to experience the joy of team and individual competition in a Christ-centered environment.

BCA believes that participation in competitive sports allows students to develop self-confidence, self-control, discipline, determination, respect and leadership skills. We offer a variety of athletic and intramural opportunities. BCA is a member of the Chattanooga Private Schools Athletic Association.

Students may participate in the following interscholastic sports (third grade students may be allowed to participate in a few of the sports listed below.)

The variety of sports teams offered each year is subject to student interest as well as the number of students available to make up an appropriately-sized team.
