Before and After-School Care
(Please refer to the "Late Pick-Up Policy".)
BCA's school day begins at 8:15 each weekday morning for all grades. Pre-school dismisses at 11:30 a.m., with Kindergarten dismissing at 3 p.m., and higher grades to follow respectively from 3:05 to 3:30. For parents who need to drop off their child before 8:15 a.m., we offer morning care that begins at 7 a.m. At 8 a.m., children will then be allowed to go to their classroom. After-care begins at 11:30 a.m. for pre-schoolers, and they will be escorted directly to their after-care room by one of our after-care staff.
After-care for Kindergarten through eighth grade begins after class dismissal at 3 p.m. or later and may stay until after-care closes at 6 p.m. We offer after-care/tuition packages for families who need this service. Summer Camp
BCA offers a wonderful summer program for Pre-K3 through rising ninth graders. The camp is filled with summer fun activites such as water and bike-riding days, swimming, visits from area attractions as well as field trips to local attractions.
This past summer, children enjoyed field trips to Coolidge Park, Rock City, Pump it Up, Cici's Pizza, the Lookouts field for a daytime baseball game, Creative Discovery Museum, the Southern Belle, The Lost Sea and Mayfield Dairy. (Pre-school children have a more limited field trip schedule.)

LATE PICK UP POLICY for AFTER CARE DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR and SUMMER CAMP:
We must respect the time of our daycare staff and ensure that children are picked up from BCA daycare and summer camp by 6 p.m. For each minute past 6 p.m., we will charge $1 per minute, per child, payable at time of pick-up. For example, if you arrive at 6:07 p.m. to pick up TWO children, you will be charged $14 for this late pick-up. Therefore, to avoid these additional charges, please ensure that you are arrive by 6 p.m. sharp. This also applies to summer campers who are enrolled in the partial day summer camp program - they must be picked up by 3 p.m. or also be charged the $1 per minute late fee, payable at time of pick-up.
