Basketball Camp - June 5 -9 

Mr. Streufert, BCA Athletic Director, will host a basketball camp for rising 3rd - 8th graders from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., June 5 - 9, 2017.  

The cost is $60 per child and the fee includes a t-shirt and basketball.  

There will be many contests each day, such as shooting for basketball cards, hot-shot contest and free throws, as well as contests based on skills. At the end of the week, one athlete will be named "Outstanding Camper of the Week". For more information please contact Mr. Streufert at the school or

Track Team News from the April/May 2017 Season

Congratulations to all our boys and girls that participated in the track season this year.  Everyone worked very hard and we especially appreciate Coaches Charlie and Charlotte Bastnagel.  We had a few athletes that were selected for the championships next week.  The elementary meet is at CCS at 4:15pm on Monday. The middle school meet is at CCS at 4:15pm on Tuesday.  This meet will include all teams (14) who are in the ISC league and will be the biggest meet of the year.  We wish all of you the best! Way to go!

Edith McCall, 3rd grade - 600 meters - Time 2:22    

Briana Jackson, 4th grade - 50 meters, Time 8.5 sec.; 100 meters, Time 17.2 sec.

Nathan Mefford, 4th grade - 600 meters, Time 2:19     

Simon Bastnagel, 5th grade - 50 meters, Time 7.6 sec.; 100 meters, Time 15.4 sec.

The vision for the Athletic department is to provide a program where students have an opportunity to experience the joy of team and individual competition in a Christ-centered environment.

BCA believes that participation in competitive sports develops self-confidence, self-control, discipline, determination, respect and leadership skills. We offer a variety of athletic and intramural opportunities. BCA is a member of the Chattanooga Private Schools Athletic Association. Students may participate in the following interscholastic sports (Second grade students may be allowed to participate in a few of the sports listed below.)

*The variety of sports teams offered each year is subject to student interest as well as the number of students available to make up an appropriately-sized team.

Students in third grade and above who wish to participate on any BCA sports teams will need to have a sports physical from their pediatrician or family physician. 

Please pick up a sports physical form from the front office or download HERE. Parents, please take the form to your child's pediatrician (or clinic that offers sports physicals) and have him or her complete the form and return it to our school office. Forms and athletic fees must be turned in before the start of the sports season. 

Tae Kwon-Do, Athletic Prep, Gymnastics and more are also available as after-school activities. We partner with Mr. Terry Hanner and Angela's Angels & Athletes to bring weekly programs to our students.

Tae Kwon-Do - Hanner International

Join our Tae-Kwon-Do class held at BCA each Monday at 3:30 p.m. Contact Terry Hanner at or 423.316.9480 for more information. All ages welcome. The cost is approximately $160 for a 12-wk. session.
